The end result is a bit of a mixed bag from an accessibility point of view. Sibelius’ commitment to accessibility is to be applauded – some users will be delighted by the messages in the score – however, the change in technologies is causing problems which will trip up the screen readers.
Non-JAWS users may finally have the chance to use Sibelius with more confidence.

People are already complaining about how disorienting it is—just like Office 2010 came out—but it might actually be a great way to save time and navigate faster inside the various menus. If you are a keyboard shortcut wizz, don't worry, all the shortcuts stayed the same and you can import your own shortcut settings from Sibelius 6 quite easily…

In the brief amount of time I have had to work with Sibelius 7, I must say I really appreciate it's new features. As in the past, academic and education pricing is available, and Avid is now offering software bundles including Pro Tools 9 and/or Media Composer.
