I had a lot of fun playing through Okabu's colorful worlds, and found myself grinning like an idiot at its absurdly upbeat characters and activities.

Okabu succeeds as a fun puzzle game, but it wasn't without its missteps. In the final levels the surrounding Doza love pelting the player with missiles.

Okabu is a fairly good little game, but one that offers little challenge. Parents with kids will enjoy being able to play together with their children and Okabu is also a great “break” game to play between more intensive sessions of other titles.

Okabu may not be perfect, but it has some solid gameplay and unique ideas that deserve some attention.

Even with a little wonkiness to it, Okabu a lot going for it and smoothes over most of its imperfections with exuberance and charm.

Okabu is a colorful and fun puzzle adventure, though it suffers from a few technical issues.

The game places you in the role of a pair of whale-shaped clouds called, creatively enough, cloud whales who are tasked with defending the peaceful inhabitants of the land from industrial creatures known as Doza.

If you like the way the LEGO games play, but you’ve had enough of those little bricks, Okabu might scratch that itch.

Okabu is one of the most upbeat games you'll play this year, and a great title for the entire family to enjoy together.

Okabu is a cheerful, ambitious puzzle-platform game from Rolando developers Hand Circus, but its flaws frustrate.

..if you have to entertain a youngster or non-gaming girlfriend/boyfriend, Okabu might be a great way to kill a few hours together.

Okabu’s beautiful art and amazing music can’t save it from mediocrity

Okabu is just a little too generic to be worth your time, which is a shame, considering I would have liked to play a fun game about saving the planet.

Okabu's is a quietly charismatic world, one destined to be overlooked thanks to its grind of an opener and failure to match its visual vigour with mechanics that haven't been used better elsewhere.

So much charm, so much loveliness, and so hard to recommend to anyone over the age of 10.

Okabu offers puzzle solving with an environmental message, but the game itself could use a bit of cleaning up.

Okabu's first impression is dazzling because it gets the audio and visual design absolutely right, but it has neither the depth nor imagination to sustain this.
