The 2011 Kia Forte EX is an adequate compact car in relation to its price. It’s cheap, good on fuel, comfortable for multiple passengers, plus it has plenty of space to accommodate nearly any activity you can dream up. Just don’t expect this vehicle to “wow” you once inside.

If imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, we imagine Mazda was blushing the first time it saw the rear end of the 2011 Kia Forte five-door. With its forward-raked backlight, roof spoiler, triangular quarter-windows, and similar C-pillar treatment, the Forte hatch is stylistically reminiscent of the first-generation Mazda 3.

We can see why this Kia doesn't get mentioned in the same breath as the Focus, Cruze, Jetta, Civic and Elantra. While the Forte can compete on looks with any of the C-Segment elite, interior refinement and fuel efficiency still lags behind the competition. And if you study where the competition has improved the most, efficiency and refinement are at the top of the list.
