It opens with introducing us to Hell of all places; or to be more precise to a prison that resembles Hell quite well. There we make the aquitance of Sun Wukong who take this oportunity to tell us a little something about himself while wipping Hell's floor with a number of demons careless enough to offend him. Shortly after a hammer falls smashing the prison to bits. Welcome to the eighth realm.
Then its time for the good guys to appear. First of all War Machine teamed up with an immortal weapon, watching in despair the White House in flames, and then they are summoned as the walls of the prison are breached. Others immortal weapons will join them, including Iron Fist.
We then see the Hammer bearer Titania guiding absorbing man to his hammer.
I am completely unfamiliar with War Machine or the immortal weapons, save for Iron Fist. This issue laid out a set and a number of players; from that perspective it did its job. The art is really good, and come to think of it the only drawback that i pinpointed is that War machine is making a guest appearance in his own title.
I could also use some action; other than the demon ass kicking that is.
As a fear itself tie in it delivers a good but needie start. The prospect of seing Iron fist again is an up as far as i am concerned, and i am kind of curious to see the rest of the immortal bunch.
