If you haven’t gotten around to playing the sequel yet, this is definitely the version to get.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is in the weird limbo land between update and full release. There’s plenty of content here, but most of it isn’t new.

It's fundamentally the same game, fourth time round at least, but it has enough new content to warrant a return to Fortune City. The best of Dead Rising

It's tough shaking the feeling that this game offers little to make it worthwhile to anyone who played the second game, but if you're itching for some more gory zombie action, then Off the Record shouldn't disappoint.

Frank West's attempt to reclaim his series deserves to be on the franchise record, though it treads a lot of familiar ground.

If you're a massive fan of the series - and of Frank West in particular - it's still worth picking this up, but even at twenty notes, there's little to make this an urgent purchase.

Off the Record provides as much entertainment as last year's Dead Rising 2 because it's almost exactly the same game.

If you’ve never played a Dead Rising game before, Off The Record is just about worth its budget price tag.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record sees photojournalist and original hero of Dead Rising's Willamette incident, Frank West, take center stage as players experience a re-imagining of the Fortune City outbreak.

Off the Record is still fun; there are still plenty of zombies to slay in a million different ways, we finally get checkpoints (even if they aren’t saves), and Sandbox is entertaining.

In some important ways, Off the Record is the best Dead Rising yet. It's just a shame you've probably seen most of it before.

..it's disappointing that a title from Capcom of all publishers should feel, much like its doughy protagonist, a little soft around the middle.

It’s still great fun, but just be aware this is little extra than more of the same.

Off the Record never feels entirely new, and the faded Elvis charms of West hardly offer a compelling reason for a full-price purchase.
