It seems Morrison has only scratched the surface of what Batman Inc. is really going up against, as you can come back to read the issue again and again, and still find something new each time.

For those of you waiting to jump into BATMAN INCORPORATED when the story became a bit more fleshed out, issue #5 signifies that threshold.

A group of heroes gather to battle Scorpiana and Doctor Dedalus.

The conspiracy deepens in issue #5 as Morrison begins to shed light on just what it is Batman and his new allies truly face.

Batwoman in Batman, Inc. #5 gives us a sane perspective that makes the surrounding surreality seem all the more insane in contrast.

There is a feeling throughout the series

That is present from page one. Another issue of artfully balanced action, mystique, revelation material; another candidate for Batman inc, called the Hood is thrown in the mix. Its funny how the plot focusses in small details through the heroes mouths and not in boxes. For instance, Dedalous speaks of a circle he has prepared prior to his imprisonment to destroy civilisation; Batman speaks of a circle around the world to keep it safe. Things like that spread out in the issues. They may mean something then again they might not, and that gives a hitchckokish style in this series which i adore.

In closing the issue has of course a twist and a prologue. The twist might be found predictable by some, but s'far as i am concerned it was natural course. The prologue opens a chapter called leviathan; so my guess is, its gonna get much more fun that anticipated.
