The Academy recruits are sent to war.

Christos Gage uses the framework of Fear Itself to craft one of his strongest issues yet.

The Nordic/Nazi death march presses the rookies into the war effort, forcing them to see horrors they're not prepared for.

As “Avengers Academy” joins in on the “Fear Itself” fun, it delivers a story that is both obvious and unavoidable...

I really do not know where to begin...

This title suprised me once more with an issue of tremendous magnitude both in plot and art. Characters, action, narration, dialogue, you name it, everything excelled. Carefuly and artfully orcestrated misses nothing and gives all. It misses not the heavy burden that is command on all levels; it misses not the individuals emotional termoil in any level; it gives ground for the reader to react with the heroes when they witness chaos unleashed; it gives us, the awe of what -until now- only had glimpses of; Global Fear!

Character development under fire in its majority seem unreal, yet in this issue the pace is so carefull, the work so meticulously balanced that every action, every expretion, and every syllable join in perfect harmony, to forge through agony a torrent of emotion.

I have read most fear itself comics thus far and this is the only that made the situation stressfull throughout its pages, from the intimacies of individual developent, to worldwide spread.
